With the ability to mix and match colors and patterns unlike anyone you've ever met, fashion and lifestyle blogger, Whitney of TrustYourCloset, will help you "step out of your comfort zone and be adventurous with your clothing" choices. With style icons like Katharine Hepburn and Sarah Jessica Parker, Whitney effortlessly mixes florals with stripes and plaid with sequins along with many other inspiring #patternplay outfits. Whitney received a pair of large lavender stud earrings and styled them with an unexpected and statement making floral top featuring both pastel and neon colors. Constantly in awe and inspired by Whitney's savvy styling, I encourage you to break out your self imposed mold of what you think matches and try something new.
The Kate & Moose mission is about spreading joy through colorful accessories, so I asked Whitney to share a little about what brings her joy, what color makes her happy, and a little about her favorite place in Kansas City. Be sure to click here to see her styled post.
What brings you joy?
Spending time with my family and friends bring me so much joy, and I wish I was able to hang out with them more (they live all out of town and all over the country/world). What brings me the most joy outside of my family and friends is hiking. I feel most like myself being outside and admiring nature, whether that is on a walk through a park or hiking in the mountains.
What color makes you happy?
I am a colorful dresser and to choose one color is very difficult. If I had to choose one color that makes me most happy it would probably be red. I have been attracted to this color for as long as I can remember. Red has so many versions of itself to offer. Red is lovely, sassy and bold. I truly believe in living colorfully in all ways possible. #livecolorfully
Do you have a store/restaurant in your hometown that you love to visit? Share a little bit about it.
Well, I currently live in Kansas City and there are a ton of things to do and places to go. Restaurants and shops galore. But I would have to say my favorite place to go in KC is a tie between the Kauffman Center and Union Station. I appreciate the modern architecture of the Kauffman Center and adore the old world architecture at Union Station. It is kind of like time traveling when visiting both places. Listening to the symphony touches my soul and I admire the talent and devotion it takes to play such intricate instruments. Standing in Union Station makes me feel like I am surrounded by history and as if I am standing among travelers new and old. Both places are must-visit spots if you are in Kansas City.
